Harsh Environment Sensing Layer

Harsh Environment Sensing

Harsh Environment Sensing applies fiber optic sensing and Physical AI workflows to cryogenic, offshore, CCUS, hydrogen, power cable,
data center, and high-risk industrial environments.

Key Technologies

  • Cryogenic
  • Offshore
  • CCUS
  • Hydrogen
  • Power Cable
  • Data Center
  • Remote Assets
  • Qualification Roadmap
Cryogenic and LNG infrastructure sensing

Passive optical sensing ensures safe,
spark-free monitoring of sloshing, BOG,
and extreme thermal gradients without
introducing electrical hazards

EMI- immune measurement captures
partial discharge and structural strain
in high-radiation and intense
magnetic fields

Power grid and industrial asset sensing
Offshore wind and subsea distributed sensing

Distributed Fiber Optic Sensing (DAS/DTS/DSS)
turns kilometers of standard subsea fiber into
thousands of continuous virtual sensors

Critical Infrastructure Sensing Gap

To extract validation-ready data from harsh environments, the sensor cannot be electronic; it must be physical light

Traditional Electronic IoT

Traditional Electronic IoT
  • Prone to Electromagnetic Interface (EMI)
  • High degradation in radiation environments
  • Catastrophic failure at cryogenic temperatures
  • High spark risk in explosive zones

PhysicaLink™ Fiber Optic Sensing

PhysicaLink Fiber Optic Sensing
  • 100% EMI Immune
  • Inherent radiation tolerance for SMR/nuclear auxiliary systems
  • Proven stability in LNG/LH2/LNH3 cryogenic environments
  • Passive and spark-free for chemical/hydrogen hubs
